So, I'm writing this from a hotel in Washington, D.C. Two fifty-pound suitcases and two carry-ons crammed to max capacity later, I think I am all ready to go. I have a whole day of orientation here in D.C. tomorrow followed by a farewell reception which my mother and Cody will be attending, and then I am off to the airport at 5:30am the next day. Not looking forward to orientation, 13-hour plane ride, more orientation. SO looking forward to my new apartment.
Update from before: Yuko got my mail and e-mailed me. YAY! It is very comforting to have a friend even though I am going so far away. I am hoping to see them shortly after I arrive.
I don't know when I will have internet access again. The guy from my B.O.E. (Board of Education) e-mailed me and told me that it won't be set up for 1-2 more weeks, so I could be without it for that much longer after I arrive. Hope you all are doing well and I will write again when I can.
