Okay, so I am cross-posting a new blog (maryinnara.blogspot.com) with my livejournal, because I intend to keep all of my private, personal life-related posts in my livejournal only, while writing about general Japan-life related things in the open blog. I am still working on cross-posting both at the same time but rest assured, I will get there soon. Anyways.

Although I do not leave the United States until July 31st, I guess I will start this with an antecdote. Today I went to go visit my parents and I found a letter at their house from Yuko. (For those of you who do not know, Yuko was my host-mother when I stayed in Yokohama for 2 months in 2007. She is also one of the sweetest people I have ever met. The picture is Yuko and I, in case you could not figure that out.) Apparently she had mailed the letter to my old apartment and it came back return to sender, so she sent it here because she was worried about me. I was very touched that she would go through all that trouble. I sent her mail back in April when I moved/found out I was accepted into the JET Program but I guess it never got to her, so she thought something had happened to me, while I assumed she was just busy/not interested in meeting up in Tokyo.

So then I was distraught and went directly to Fedex and paid a zillion dollars to send her a letter asking her to e-mail me ASAP, and they told me it was only guaranteed to get there by Wednesday, so I was distraught again but then I realized that they were talking about Wednesday in Japan, so really Tuesday.

I hope everything works out and I get to see them before I head off to Nara, but you'll have to stay tuned to find out...
